Day 2 National Championships

Day 2 of the Liberty Mutual Insurance NASTAR National Championships provided the adults with an opportunity to race in the morning on the hard fast snow and the junior racers competed in the afternoon.
There were more than 750 racers that took two runs per day with the best handicap earned each day used to calculate the racers' final average handicaps. Awards were presented to the top three places in each age, gender and division with the gold medalist from each division earning invitations to compete in the Race of Champions.
There was an eventful awards reception held in the Champagne Powder Room at the top of the gondola where racers and guests were treated to a spectacular sunset. The team from Wachusett Mountain may have place 20th in the Resort Team Race, but they were number one on the dance floor.
