Position: Race Director

Direct Supervisor: Snowsports Director

Overview:
Responsible for all race functions including high school race teams, adult corporate leagues, college
races and NASTAR. Lead on course set-up and maintenance as well as technical responsibilities for
successful race completion. Staff of 5-10.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities (to include, but not limited to the following):

Responsible for coaching athletes.
Responsible for race and training schedules and communicating that information.
Responsibility to set course and meet layout and safety standards.
Responsible for maintaining race equipment.
Responsible for running races.
Responsible for running corporate race series.
All other duties as assigned.

What we expect of you:
Racing is a winter sport, which can pose challenges one must be prepared to handle. Long days and
late nights can be expected as work ends when a race ends. Time management is required in this
fast paced environment along with collaboration and dependability in this team atmosphere. Read the

Requirements:

On your feet and long hours.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work well with other team members.
Wear uniform at all times while on duty.
Work in varying weather conditions.
Work with various entities as it relates to racing including: NASTAR, FIS, NHARA, USSA, New England College, various local schools and be knowledgeable about racing and technical application.
Pats Peak provides uniforms; you need to provide warm footwear (boots), gloves, snow pants, hat, sunglasses, etc as needed.

What to expect from us:
Generally, work schedules are four days per week. Schedules are influenced by weather conditions
and guest attendance, most full time employees work 45-55 hours per week. Employment for the
season is usually from the beginning of December through the end of March. We offer free skiing,
rentals and lessons (all with supervisor approval); meal discounts and discounts in our retail shop.
