Each time a participant races Nature Valley NASTAR, they earn a handicap which represents the difference between their race time and Steve's time expressed as a percentage.

Snowboarding is a really cool sport. I wonder why is it not as popular in USA as it is in some other European countries. According to a recent sports popularity survey winter sports are favorite among only about 1% of world sports fans. I sure wish the popularity of such sports grow - fun, adventurous, do not hurt animals (like some equine sports) and more.
