Your time gives you a handycap (which is a little harder to explain)...But it a nut shell it is how much slower than you are from the fastest guy in the US...(Daron Ralves I think is set at 0).
If you skied 20% slower than Daron...your handycap would be 20. If you skied 52% slower, it woudl be 52%.
Since Daron cannot go to every course everytime it is set, there is a pacesetter, who is given a handycap (usually around 5-12) and from that they find out the 'par time'. The 'par time' is the time Daron would ski it.
Note: you don't need to worry about any of this stuff...Just ski the course as fast as you can, and whoever is at the start or finish can tell you your handycap.
