Have you ever heard of this ski? This is the Atomic GSX. This ski is the very same ski as the Atomic SX-11 (Supercross) ski, only it has the red GS-11 top sheet. It's a great length for NASTAR courses at 180 cm. (I have a pair of the SX-11's and a pair of GS-11.21 that I can photograph for side-x-side comparision.)

The ski has a 18M turning radius and is a great NASTAR ski. I have the Atomic 614 Race binding mounted on this ski. The tip has a larger "shovel" than the traditional GS-11.21 ski and it also has a wider tail. This means easier initiation of turns and a more forgiving ski.

The bases are in excellent shape and there are NO CORE SHOTS!! These skis have been tuned and the edges are also in very good shape, no nicks or damage.

These are priced to sell at $150.00, plus shipping! (Depending on location, shipping will usually run $35-$40) Act quickly, they will not last!

If you want them, shoot me a PM.

Bear:

I know this is an old posting and you sold the Atomic GS-X skis you were asking for info on, but I saw this post and have the info you need. The Atomic GS-X model ski is a 'prototype' ski that Atomic sold
in limited quantities only to wholesalers back around the 2003 season as the original SX-11 model that would soon be sold to the mass public. The GS-X and it's sister-prototypes: GS-R and GS-L, were the protoype models first used to create the current line of the GS and SL race models that proceded the Beta Race line. I have a pair of the GS-Rs myself in 180cm and I love them! They have sidecut and radii dimensions that fell between those of the GS 9 and GS 11 models in 2004 (104-62-93 17m) and the top sheet's graphics were identical with exception of the "GS-R" monicker listed instead of "GS 9". The SL model line is the same protoype only in yellow/black graphics. I was told by the wholesaler from whom I purchased my GS-Rs that Atomic only manufactured and issued about 500 pairs of each prototype ski and only 100 pairs of each model were ever shipped to and sold in North America, so you have a rare gem in those boards. It's hard to sell them, though, because most skiers have no idea what they are. Basically the GS-X, GS-R, and GS-L models are a lighter, softer version of the supercross and race models that debuted that season and are a good alternative as a recreational race/carve ski at a reduced price from the race models. I just purchased a pair of 2007 GS 9s in 180cm because I find the gates on the rolling headwalls of SNO Mountain's NASTAR and league course to be tight at times and the 16 m radius on the GS 9 is better suited for that course than the longer radius on the GS-Rs. I did end up selling my GS-Rs for $200 to a team mate because he was familiar with the skis having skied and raced with me all season and knew that I race-prepped the boards the perfection each week.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you need more info you can reach me at Bricksandivy08@yahoo.com.
