After his impressive start to the World Cup Tour, winning the opening GS in Sölden by 2.75 seconds, Ted Ligety proved his dominance once again in GS at Birds of Prey taking the top spot by 1.76 seconds. With another 1st place in the bag and a solid 4th place finish in the Super G at Birds of Prey this past weekend, Ligety is currently in second place in the Overall World Cup standings. Steven Nyman held strong in the men's DH on Friday placing 33rd.

On the ladies side, Stacey Cook recorded a career best result at Lake Louise. Cook finished behind Lindsey Vonn on Friday in the DH and repeated the result again on Saturday for back-to-back second place finishes. Friday's second place finish marked Cook's first career podium appearance on the World Cup scene. Julia Mancuso also grabbed a second place finish in the Super G on Sunday plus two top ten results in downhill. Both ladies are now in the top ten Overall.
