The Nature Valley NASTAR National Championships are approaching fast and we are excited to have NASTAR's National Pacesetter and recent Gold Medal winner, Ted Ligety, joining us in Snowmass. If you have not registered yet, do it fast. Ted has established himself as one of the greatest GS racer in the history of the sport and you will not want to miss the opportunity to race him. There are great deals on lodging and lift tickets and the snow has been amazing this winter. In addition, there will be Team Races on Saturday and on Sunday we have added NASTAR Slalom for the first time (check the schedule).
Nature Valley NASTAR Ambassadors will be setting the pace all week, awarding medals, signing autographs and hanging out with racers young and old. Outside of the NASTAR National Championships, there are very few opportunities to ski, race and hangout with some of the fastest members of the U.S. Ski Team, so don't miss it.
There will be eleven courses that are divided into divisions running morning and afternoon races so everyone has an opportunity to race on a clean course. Check out the map and see where you would race. The Spider Sabich Race Arena has space for all of the courses plus a sponsor village where you can demo skis, get your skis waxed or pick up swag.
We have a great boot bag from Swix for each competitor, a huge raffle for equipment and the grand prize for winning the Race of Champions is a VIP package to a U.S. Ski Team event. The male and female racers that record the fastest raw times will each win a VIP trip for two to a U.S. Ski Team race in 2014 including airfare, lodging, lift tickets and VIP access.
If that is not enough, the après ski music scene will be off the hook. The headliner this year is Lucas Nelson and POTR but we will also have Brownout, Jes Grew and Matthew Moon rocking the base village.
